Quality Assurance Engineering Intern June 2022 - August 2022

· Increased the accuracy of optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) measurements through updating the index of refraction, resulting in a 10% reduction in measurement error on fiber optic cable spools.
· Automated the Material Review Board process by leading a team to incorporate a new format into existing systems saving engineers 30 minutes of work a week.
· Completed incoming inspections by ensuring products met specifications in accordance with critical parameters outlined per e-drawing and validated their respective certificate of conformance.
· Implemented a change that would require technicians to undergo additional training procedures by conducting a study on the data of mechanical lengths of fiber spools and their OTDR correlations.

· Managed a $550K budget consisting of student funds by holding bi-weekly meetings with clubs and the student body through legislating and upholding student government laws and bylaws.
· Enacted legislation of YWCA Career Women program that provides daycare for student mothers in STEM, healthcare, and manufacturing programs.
